Luke McCallum
Art Director + Graphic Designer + Copywriter + Illustrator.
Wildfire’s Young Gun!
Luke McCallum started out with Wildfire close to 5 years ago, and for the past few years has really developed into a mature gunslinger – or should we say creative gun!
He has produced a stack of great creative work for a large range of clients. Luke has also worked on pitches and enjoys the client facing role from time to time. He went out west (travelled interstate at the client’s request), to work with other independent design teams. Luke really “out gunned” his much older counter-parts and had “the draw” on much more seasoned designers.
He has a natural ability in both copywriting and illustration, which makes him an innate designer and a budding word smith. Recently he has become really fast on TV editing and Video animatics, both in Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro producing these for Wildfire’s clients. His main work is in brochures, flyers, basically general layout design, with solid command and skills in Typography, whether a retail catalogue application or designing corporate reports.
Although, with all this being said, if you are looking across the Wildfire Website, he has done some incredible work on; detailed logo design, goregous illustrations (using illustrator) and plenty of corporate infographics and icons that are “hand-tooled” for Clients like Norwood and OMC international.
Art directors and collaborators working with Luke are always impressed. He might not say much at times, but his talents speak louder than his words. He is a vital and vibrant member of the team and we enjoy his presence in studio.
When you drop by Spark up a conversation and let Luke tell you a few of his stories of designing for Wildfire Productions.
